This is a compact pilgrimage tour that provides visitors insightful information within a short period of time. There are 62 archaeological sites spread out around the quiet town of Lumbini. The whirlwind tour goes through a number of sacred spots that include: Tilaurakot, Kudan, Gothihawa, Niglihawa, Sagarhawa, Aurorakot, Devadaha and the Ramagrama – all historical satellite areas which signify the birth, life and enlightenment cycle of the Buddha. Lumbini, the birth place of the lord Buddha, is said to be the groundwork for an establishment that stands for world peace. Lumbini is based in Rupandehi district of West Nepal on the borders of Nepal with India; this western border town is the epicentre of pilgrimage that calls for a visit at least once in a lifetime for the Buddhists faithful across the world; this is similar to billions of Christians who visit Bethlehem & Jerusalem, the birthplace of ‘Jesus Christ’. Lumbini is also a UNESCO world heritage site of much medieval importance.
The ancient town of Lumbini is not only limited to religious & historical significance but the spiritual walk through the villages also informs pilgrims about the unique diversity of the green Terai belt & it’s interesting culture. Pilgrims get to observe the Terai landscapes & lush vegetation found on the outskirts of these holy settlements.
Lumbini can be smoothly accessed from Kathmandu through surface & by air. Incentive Holidays will be your guide on this pilgrimage of peace & harmony as you cross the mountains to make your peace with the Buddha for a lasting happiness.

Many just make a day trip to Lumbini from the neighboring towns of Butwal, Bhairawa or Sunauli. But if you want to stay in the area, the peaceful environment of Lumbini is certainly better than the noisy towns around. The options are many for your hotel stay, the choice exclusively yours.
The choices are rather limited. There are many restaurants which is about a ten minutes walk from the center. The locals feel guests need to make some limited sacrifices when visiting the birth place of the Buddha. However, despite the circumstances, you won’t need to go hungry…the Buddha wouldn’t want that anyways.
The best time for a trip of this kind would be in the spring and autumn. It is wonderful during this time of the year when the skies are a sparkling blue and the landscapes found on these trips are stunning to behold. It’s also cooler at this time to visit the steaming Terai region of Nepal which is hot and humid in the summers. Our program could be changed to accommodate individual group choices and preferences in order to give you proper holidays that become signature ventures for a lifetime.
