This program takes you to Sindhupalchowk, a picturesque mountainous district lying on the Nepal-Tibet border, that was devastated by the 2015 earthquake. Hugging cliffs, mountainsides or perched atop mountains, most villages that fall under this district has been badly affected by landslides triggered by the quake. Some villages have been wiped out completely. The inhabitants of these villages are trying their best to rebuild their lives. As a local tourism company, we at ‘Everest Nepal’ have been trying our best to help out the villagers by reviving rural tourism through the introduction of village & cultural tours. By taking this tour, you will not only learn about the village culture but you will also boost the village economy.
A day’s excursion at Lapsiphedi, a Tamang village situated on Kathmandu valley’s rim will reward with amazing sight of the surrounding mountains, including the Himalayas (if the weather is clear!).
In Kathmandu, a visit to World Heritage Sites that were damaged partially or wholly by the earthquake will give you an idea about the intensity and force of the devastating earthquake. Wind up your tour with a visit to an orphanage and interacting with the kids
