This tour takes you to fascinating sites in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Explore royal palaces, medieval kingdoms and ancient World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Discover picturesque Pokhara, set like a jewel on the banks of the vast Phewa Lake, surrounded by snowy Himalayan peaks . Enjoy boating on the Lake’s emerald waters and an enchanting sunrise view from Sarangkot. Spend some quiet moments reflecting inside the hallowed confines of ancient masjids in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (D)
Day 2: Full day Sightseeing: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath & Narayanhiti royal palace, Jama Mosque and Kashmiri Mosque (BLD)
Day 3: Drive to Pokhara -Free till evening (BLD)
Day 4: Full Day Sightseeing (Boating-Phewa Lake, Davi’s fall, Seti Gorge, Gupteswor Cave, Tibetan refugee camp, International Mountain Museum, Jame Masjid at Miya Patan) (BLD)
Day 5: Morning sunrise view from Sarangkot , Bindabasini temple, Afternoon: Free (BLD)
Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu (BLD)
Day 7: Half day sightseeing at Bouddhanath & Bhaktapur Durbar Square (World heritage site), Afternoon : Free (BLD)
Day 8: Depart Kathmandu (BL)
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (D)
Transfer from airport to hotel. A representative from our office will be there to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. At the hotel, you will be briefed on your itinerary.
Day 2: Full-day Sightseeing: Narayanhiti royal palace, Jama Mosque and Kashmiri Mosque, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath (BLD)
After breakfast we head to Narayanhiti Palace Museum. The former royal family used to live at this palace when Nepal was still a monarchy. The palace was converted into a museum after Nepal was declared a democratic republic in 2008. The palace has paintings and artefacts of former royals of the Shah dynasty.
Later we head to Kashmiri Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Nepal. The first Muslim immigrants built this mosque and this has been a gathering place for the small Muslim community in Kathmandu for centuries. The tombs of Sufi mystics Shah Miskeen and his nephew who came to Nepal during the reign of King Pratap Malla are enshrined inside the mosque. A few steps away is the much larger and newer Jame Masjid. Prayer services at both these mosques are held in Arabic.
Next we visit the World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square & Swoyambhunath.
Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (BLD)
After an early breakfast, we drive to Pokhara. It takes about 5-6 hours to reach Pokhara by road. At Pokhara we check into our hotel and call it a day. Enjoy a leisurely evening stroll by the lakeside (Phewa Lake) if you are not too tired.
Day 4: Full Day Sightseeing (Boating- Phewa Lake, Davis Fall, Seti Gorge, Gupteswor Cave, Tibetan refugee camp, International Mountain Museum, Jame Masjid at Miya patan) (BLD)
After an early breakfast we head to Phewa Lake to enjoy boating in the tranquil waters of Phewa Lake. Later we visit the natural wonders of Pokhara – Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave and Seti Gorge. We also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp, International Mountain Museum and Jame Masjid at Miya Patan.
Day 5: Morning sunrise view from Sarangkot , Bindabasini Temple, Afternoon: Free (BLD)
Early morning we drive to Sarangkot Hill for sunrise view. The play of colours as the sun’s rays slowly touch the snowy white peaks in hues of pink and golden is magical. Later in the day we visit the Bindabasini Temple. After the sightseeing tour ends, you are free to spend the day as you wish.
Day 6: Drive back to Kathmandu (BLD)
We return to Kathmandu by road.
Day 7: Half day sightseeing – Bouddhanath & Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Afternoon: Free (BLD)
After an early breakfast we head to Boudhanath, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the most important centre of Tibetan Buddhism outside Tibet. Buddhists believe that the remains of Kasyapa Buddha (Lord Buddha’s previous incarnation) were interred at the spot where the stupa is built. Later we head to Bhaktapur, one of Kathmandu’s medieval kingdoms. We explore the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nyatapole Temple, Golden Gate, Dattareya Temple, Palace of 55 Windows etc. are some of the cultural gems of this ancient city.
Evening, enjoy a complimentary Halal speciality dinner.
Day 8: Depart Kathmandu (BL)
Our representative will drop you at the airport on time to catch your return flight.
