Explore Panauti, an ancient Newari town filled with medieval temples and legends of Gods, Kings & Queens and an invisible river that runs through it. Walk through the medieval city of Patan. Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 2: Transfer to Kodari O/N The Last Resort
Day 3: Bungy Jumping & Rafting in Bhotekoshi River and transfer to Dhulikhel
Day 4: Panauti City tour & Drive to Kathmandu
Day 5: Full day sightseeing – Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Patan Durbar Square
Day 6: Depart Kathmandu
Day 1– Arrive Kathmandu
Transfer from airport to hotel. A representative from our office will be there to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport. At the hotel, you will be briefed on your itinerary.
Day 2– Drive to Kodari, Bungy Jumping O/N The Last Resort
Taking the Araniko Highway we head towards the Nepal-Tibet border. We drive past Newari villages, solitary farmsteads, terraced fields and verdant mountain sides. We stop at the last ‘The Last Resort’. The walk to the resort via the 160 metre high metal suspension bridge over the Bhote Koshi is an adventure in itself. After a routine BP and weight check we head to the bridge with the bungy guides. After a safety check, we take a freefall from the platform and descend 160m. to the Bhote Koshi river.
We spend the night at The Last Resort.
Day 3– Rafting in Bhotekoshi River and transfer to Dhulikhel
After an early breakfast we get down to the river to ride the rapids. After a short briefing by our river guide we set our raft adrift and paddle away. Later we head to Dhulikhel, a quaint Newari town.
Day 4–Sunrise from Dhulikhel, Panauti City tour & Drive to Kathmandu
We wake up early to witness the sun rising over the white spires of distant Himalayan peaks and green hills. Later in the day we visit Panauti an ancient Newari town. Panauti is filled with ancient buildings built using traditional Newari architecture, sattals or public resting places and temples.
Afterwards we head back to Kathmandu by road.
Day 5– Full day sightseeing – Boudhanath, Pashupatinath & Patan
We commence our sightseeing tour by driving to Boudhanth, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the most important centre of Tibetan Buddhism outside Tibet. Buddhists believe that the remains of Kasyapa Buddha (Lord Buddha’s previous incarnation) were interred at the spot where the stupa is built. We also visit Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and a protected World Heritage Site.
Later we head to the medieval city of Patan and visit the old durbar square. The palace complex houses a museum, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and Kumbeshwor Mahadev Temple.
Evening, enjoy a traditional Nepali feast and a lively Nepali cultural programme.
Day 6– Depart Kathmandu
Our representative will drop you at the airport on time to catch your return flight.
