Stay with a local family at Lapsiphedi, a picturesque hilltop village that lies on the edge of Kathmandu and enjoy Tamang hospitality and panoramic views of Himalayan Mountains. In Kathmandu visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Basantapur Durbar Square & Swoyambhunath.

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

Day 2: Kathmandu – Meeting with Co-ordinator

Day 3: Drive to Lapsiphedi, Village Walk

Day 4: Drive to Kathmandu

Day 5: Sightseeing (Basantapur Durbar Square & Swoyambhunath)

Day 6: Depart Kathmandu 

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Kathmandu

Transfer from airport to hotel. A representative from our office will be there to receive you at the Tribhuvan International Airport.  At the hotel you will be briefed on your itinerary.

Day 2– Kathmandu – Meeting with Co-ordinator

Today you will meet the Tour Co-ordinator who will apprise you with the condition of the village you will visit and relay some basic dos & don’ts while on the tour. After the meeting, you are free to spend the day as you wish.

Day 3 –Drive to Lapsiphedi, Village Walk

After an early breakfast we take a delightful ride to Lapsiphedi- a scenic mountain-top Tamang village located 20 km from Kathmandu. We stay at a local home. After refreshments, we explore a bit of the village. There’s a tea-garden and we up hike there to enjoy the view and bask in the beauty of the verdant tea estate.

Day 4 –Drive to Kathmandu

After enjoying the Himalayan view from the village we board the vehicle and drive back to Kathmandu.

Day 5 – Sightseeing – Basantapur Durbar Square & Swoyambhunath

Today we visit World Heritage Sites of Basantapur Durbar Square and Swoyambhunath Temple. Located within Basantapur Durbar Square are the House of the Living Goddess, Hanuman Dhoka Palace (which now houses a museum) and scores of pagoda temples and ancient structures. Though the2015 earthquake damaged some of the structures, rebuilding and restoration work is going on. We also visit Swoyambhunath Temple. Lying at the top of the hill, the temple is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Swoyambhunath’s origin is linked to the formation of Kathmandu valley. According to local legend the temple is as old as Kathmandu valley. Enjoy a 360 degree view of the city from the temple.

Evening, enjoy a complimentary traditional Nepali feast and a lively Nepali cultural programme.

Day 6Depart Kathmandu

Our representative will drop you at the airport on time to catch your return flight.
