Kathmandu
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Day 2 : Orientation program
Day 3 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) Program (08:00 am ~ 17:00 pm)
Day 4 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) Program (08:00 am ~ 17:00 pm)
Day 5 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) Program (08:00 am ~ 17:00 pm)
Day 6 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) Program (08:00 am ~ 17:00 pm)
Day 7 : Drive back to Kathmandu and free at your own leisure
Day 8 : Final departure from Kathmandu
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu Airport where our official representative will receive you and transfer to Hotel.
Briefing about program and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Orientation program
In the morning (AM),orientation program will be organized. Mainly, during the orientation, basic guideline and information about your volunteer program will be provided. Besides this, we also teach basic Nepali language which will be helpful during your stay in village as a volunteer.
After lunch (PM), our representative will drive you to Jana Jagriti Primary School of Jaishithok VDC, Kavre by private vehicle. After 2 hrs drive, you will reach in school construction site and will be introduced with our construction crew. Short briefing about your work will be given. Dinner with our crew members and overnight at tented camp.
Day 3 ~ 6: Volunteer in schoolConstruction (civil work)Program (08:00 am ~ 17:00 pm)
After tea/coffee, your main task will start from 8 am to support village people to produce “Earth Block”. It is a kind of brick which will be made using 95% local mud and 5% cement. It is a new technology and our main aim is to build school using local material which will be cheaper and environment friendly. It also helps village people to know the new technology and ultimately it will support them to construct their houses in cheap and environment friendly technology using local materials.
In this village, most of the houses are collapsed by earthquake. The villagers are living in temporary shed. You have to live in tented camp with our crew members. Food & drinking water will be provided by our construction crew. We hope,during your volunteer program in this village, you will be able to observe and learn the daily life of Nepalese people, their lifestyle, culture and little bit of their language and especially gain the respect and love from those needy people. Your contribution will encourage them to produce more than 10000 earth bricks which will be used to build 6 rooms for the school building of Jana Jagriti Primary School.
Day 7: Drive back to Kathmandu and free at your own leisure
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu and you will have day free at your own. We will organize a Farewell Nepali dinner followed by cultural program for you (complements from our team)
Day 8: Final departure from Kathmandu
