Kathmandu
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Day 2 : Orientation program
Day 3 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) & culture exchange
Day 4 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) & culture exchange
Day 5 : Volunteer in school construction (civil work) & culture exchange
Day 6 : Drive back to Kathmandu and free at your own leisure
Day 7 : Final departure from Kathmandu
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu Airport where our official representative will receive you and transfer to Hotel.
Briefing about program and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Orientation program
In the morning (AM), orientation program will be organized. Mainly, during the orientation, basic guideline and information about your volunteer program will be provided. Besides this, we also teach basic Nepali language which will be helpful during your stay in village as a volunteer.
After lunch (PM), our representative will drive you to Jana Chetana Higher School of Sarsyukharka VDC, Kavreby private vehicle. After 2 hrs drive, you will reach in school construction site and will be introduced with our construction crew, school management committee and host families. Short briefing about your work will be given. Dinner with our crew members and overnight inhome stay.
Day 3-5: Volunteer in School Construction (civil work) &Culture Exchange
7 am to 10 am:Volunteer to produce Earth Blocks
Your daily task will begin after tea/coffee. From 7 am to 10 am, you will provide support for villagers to produce “Earth Block”. It is a kind of brick which will be made using 95% local mud and 5% cement. This earth block will be used during the construction of the school building.
10 am to 11 am:Break Time
11 am to 13 pm:Volunteerclass fromyour side. (Language / art & crafts / sports/ culture & life style)
(There will be 3 classes. Every class will be 45 minutes long. Target grade will be grade 8 to 10)
13 pm to 14 pm:Lunch Break
14 pm to 17 pm:Study session
In this session, the school teacher will give you brief lesson about the village people, their culture, their preferences in music & dance and the Nepali language.
Every Evening: Interaction with village people, farmers, women group, students
Day 6: Drive back to Kathmandu and free at your own leisure
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu and you will have day free at your own. We will organize a Farewell Nepali dinner followed by cultural program for you (complements from our team)
Day 7: Final departure from Kathmandu
